Who is Mira Murti?
OpenAI’s new CEO Mira Murati was born in 1988 in Vlorë, Albania, a country in Southeastern Europe. At the age of 16, she moved to Canada to attend Pearson College UWC. Here he earned the International Baccalaureate Diploma in 2007. After this, Meera studied Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from Dartmouth College and then graduated in 2012.
When did Mira Murati start her career?
Talking about career, Murati started as an intern at Goldman Sachs in 2011. Worked at Zodiac Aerospace from 2012 to 2013. At Tesla in 2013 he worked as senior product manager for the Model X, a luxury electric SUV. Then after leaving Tesla in 2016, she moved to Leap Motion Company.
Mira Murati worked on these big projects
In 2018, Murati moved to OpenAI as VP of Applied AI and Partnerships. He also worked with the teams that developed ChatGPT, Dell-E, and Codex.
In May 2022, Murati was selected as CTO of OpenAI, overseeing the company’s research, product, and security teams. After this, he has now been made the interim CEO of Open in November 2023. Murati is the first woman and the first person of Albanian descent to hold the top position at OpenAI.
Company’s co-founder also resigned
Greg Brockman, OpenAI’s co-founder and chairman of the board, has also stepped down. He is resigning from the post of chairman of the company. “Based on today’s news, I have stepped down,” Brockman wrote in a post on Twitter.
