Punch EV has recently entered Tata’s electric lineup. This is the first model which is based on the company’s new Acti.EV platform. Many new features have been given in it compared to the regular model, along with this some new safety features have also been added to it. We will learn more about what is special in the cabin of the top Empowered Plus variant of Tata Punch Electric through pictures.
The top Empowered Plus variant of Tata Punch EV has dual-tone gray leather seat upholstery inside the cabin. On the front, it is also provided with storage space along with center armrest. The driver seat of the Punch electric car can also be manually adjusted according to height. This electric micro SUV car also has a ventilation function on the front seats.
The Tata Punch Electric has a layered design with dual-tone treatment on the dashboard. In comparison to the regular model, the center AC vents are integrated in its all-electric version, whereas the center AC vents are available separately in its petrol version.
The Empowered Plus variant of Punch Electric has been provided with chrome-finished door handles. In this, the tweeter has been positioned near the door handle, while the speakers are provided at the bottom of the door. Punch EV has a 6-speed sound system.
Like the Nexon EV, the Punch EV has a new 2-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated Tata logo. Its steering wheel has been given a dual-tone treatment like the dashboard.
On the left side of the steering wheel, it has some controls for the infotainment system, while on the right side, it has some buttons for digital driver display and cruise control.
In this vehicle, paddle shifters have been provided behind the new steering wheel to adjust the level of regenerative braking.
Tata Punch EV has a 10.25-inch fully digital driver display. Its digital cluster not only provides information on range, speed, driving mode, battery level, and other car-related parameters but can also be synced with the infotainment system to display maps via Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
This electric micro SUV car from Tata has a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system which supports wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Arcade.EV app suite is also provided with its infotainment system through which you can access different OTT applications and can also play games on the infotainment system while parking the car.
Since the Punch EV also has an air purifier feature, the AQI (Air Quality Index) is also displayed on its infotainment screen.
Like Tata’s other facelift cars, the Punch Electric also has a touch-based climate control panel. Not only are AC controls available in this panel, but functions like hill hold, hazard warning lights, boot unlock, fog lights, and charging flap opener are also provided in it.
Drive Mode Selector
The Punch electric car has an integrated display with a jeweled rotary drive mode selector. On the back side of the drive mode selector, buttons for sport and economy drive modes are also provided.
It also has switches for the electronic parking brake and auto hold function on the back side of the drive mode selector.
The Punch EV has two adjustable headrests and a center armrest (without cup holders) on the rear side seats. It does not have the facility of AC vents for the rear passenger. There are also no load sensors for the rear seats, so it is important to keep your seat belts fastened to prevent the seat belt alarm from activating, even when no one is sitting in the rear.
Tata Punch EV has a boot space of 366 liters and it also has an additional 14 liters of storage at the front.
The Tata Punch electric car is available in five variants. The price of this vehicle starts from Rs 10.99 lakh and goes up to Rs 15.49 lakh. It has two battery pack options: 25 kWh and 35 kWh, whose certified range is 315 km and 421 km respectively.
The variant seen in the pictures has a larger battery pack and its price is Rs 15.49 lakh. In Tata’s electric lineup, this car has been positioned between the Tiago EV hatchback and the Nexon EV sub-4 meter. Punch Electric competes with Citroen EC3 in the segment.
