PM Kusum Yojana | By winning the first position in the country in PM Kusum Yojana, Maharashtra has proved its commitment to implementing schemes for the benefit of farmers. This state belongs to Baliraja, we are making conscious efforts for it, Chief Minister Eknath Shinde expressed his feelings and praised the state’s energy department. Maharashtra has installed about 71 thousand 958 solar pumps.
This scheme was already accelerated by the concept of Deputy Chief Minister and Energy Minister Devendra Fadnavis. On his initiative, the Energy Department has effectively implemented the PM Kusum scheme to provide transmissionless solar agricultural pumps for agricultural use to the farmers of the state to enable them to irrigate during the day. For this top position, Chief Minister Shri. Shinde Energy Minister Shri. Fadnavis has been congratulated for his initiative and also the officers-employees related to mega power.
The Chief Minister has said in his message that we are effectively using the new and renewable energy sector in the state for the intimate agricultural pumps of our farmer brothers. This will provide our Baliraja with a reliable energy alternative for irrigation. This option is also less expensive and reliable. The goal achieved by the Department of Energy in coordination with the Center’s mechanisms is only a step.
Efforts are being made to get more farmers solar agricultural pumps through this scheme. For this, Mahaenergy should maintain consistency in its working system, and also create more awareness among farmers about this energy source. The Chief Minister has also expressed the expectation that efforts should be made to ensure that this position of Maharashtra remains at the top forever.
The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy of the Central Government has approved the installation of 9 lakh 46 thousand 471 solar pumps in the states under the ‘Kisan Urja Suraksha wa Utthan Mahabhiyan’ ‘Kusum’ scheme.
A total of 2 lakh 72 thousand 916 solar pumps have been installed in the country. Among these, the maximum number of solar agricultural pumps have been installed in Maharashtra through Mahavaerja.
A separate portal has been developed through Mahaurja for the implementation of PM Kusum Yojana. Emphasis is now also being placed on the scheme of providing solar agricultural pumps to the farmers who have applied for agricultural pump connection with Mahavitaran but have not paid the deposit.
Maharashtra has already taken an important step in this field by formulating the Non-Conventional Energy Generation Policy 2020. The state has approved five lakh agricultural pumps for the next five years.
