Indore Crime News: The Crime Branch has arrested a youth associated with the pharma business. The accused used to blackmail people by promising them loans. The main accused is still absconding. Police are investigating the call details and accounts of the mobile.
According to DCP (Crime) Nimish Aggarwal, the accused Pasupulethi Ravindra Venkatesh is a resident of Chittoor (Telangana). A youth had lodged a complaint that he had taken a loan from the instant loan app ‘Legend Rupi’. Even after depositing the money with interest, the accused are threatening him. Taking photos from the phone and sending them to acquaintances. Cyber cell extracted information from the Google Play Store and arrested the accused Pashupulethi on Monday.
Police are collecting information about bank accounts
According to the DCP, the accused runs a pharma-related business in Hyderabad. The accused told during interrogation that a young man had contacted him through the messenger app Telegram. He had entrusted the task of registering the ‘Legend Rupee’ loan app on the Play Store. Instead, he paid in cryptocurrency. According to the DCP, the police are now collecting information about the bank accounts from which the money transactions took place.
